Biography

He was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, and emigrated to the United States in 2008. As an immigrant himself he understands the unique challenges that immigrants who are coming to the United States face, and thus makes it his mission to provide legal services to each and every one of his clients with the utmost care and expertise.

Before opening N400 Harbor Immigration Law, Dario Castañeda held various positions in both private and governmental sectors, as a managing immigration attorney, law clerk, and law consultant. He concentrates his practice in both family-based and employment immigration law and has extensive experience in removal proceedings.

Dario Castañeda is a consultant for the Mexican consulate in both Chicago, IL and Miami, FL. He also is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where he serves on various committees. He has presented on legal issues impacting immigrants for multiple organizations, including AILA, the Chicago Bar Association, and at various universities and educational institutions.

Dario Castañeda has been featured in the Chicago Tribune and given interviews for local radio stations. While in law school, Dario Castañeda was active in the Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) Legal Fraternity, coordinating professional development events as well as fundraising for Loyola’s Law School Public Interest Law Society. He was also an arbitrator with the International Commercial Arbitration and CISG Team. Dario Castañeda is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in German. He lives with his wife, who is an immigrant from Germany, and their two young daughters in Palm Beach County, Florida. He enjoys cooking, fishing, and exploring the outdoors with his family.
